7cm Mezuzah Scroll
Mezuzah refers to the parchment containing the 2 paragraphs from the Torah in which the mitzvah of mezuzah is mentioned. The mezuzah contains 22 lines of painstakingly handwritten script, totaling 713 letters. It takes between one and a half to three hours to write a mezuzah. The normal size of a mezuzah is between 7 square centimeters and 15 square centimeters. Each mezuzah is rolled from left to right then wrapped in a protective wrapping. Then it is encased in an attractive case with the Sha-dai faces outwards. A mezuzah is affixed on most entryways to and within our homes, schools, synagogues and businesses.
