Rubin Eshet Hayil - אשת חיל
Signed and Numbered lithograph on canvas. In a frame
Leah Rachel Mullacond, an adopted daughter of Israel, is a water colorist. She combines ancient techniques from the Orient to depict in exquisite detail life in Israel in miniature masterpieces.
Her works resonate the soul of the beholder who especially appreciates finding the presence of the Almighty in the small details of glorious scenes from life in Eretz Yisrael. Her works celebrate and praise the One Above in the details of these extraordinary works.
Leah Rachel was not always Leah Rachel. She was born far away from the Land of Israel in the Birobijan Province of the former Soviet Union in 1967- the year of the unification of Jerusalem, when the song "Jerusalem of Gold" was composed. She grew up as a child on the border of China and the Soviet Union, the daughter of a Muslim father and a Christian mother. Few Jews resided there, but her contact with Jews as a child and teenager awakened and kindled her soul. She yearned to be a Jew. Upon making aliyah to Israel in 1991, she formally converted to Judaism and committed herself to a life of Torah study, observance, and her art.
Today, Leah Rachel resides in Israel's Shomron Mountains. From her home she seeks out sites in the hills of Jerusalem and the Holy Land's mountains and desert villages to inspire future works to display her profound hopes and prayers, joyous spirit, and love of Torah. Today, these 27 captivating compositions of hers are available in limited and numbered editions of parchment, canvas, and the finest of paper stocks from Europe.
